DESTIN, Fla. — Southwestern men's golf finished tied for 17th at the Golfweek Division III Invitational, scoring a 303, 302, and 304 to finish with a final tally of 909 after three rounds.
Christian Rodriguez led the Pirates with a top-10 finish. The junior from Houston, Texas, started strong with a 69 in the first round and finished steady, scoring a 72 in the second and third rounds to finish at 213, tied for eighth.
Thomas Kuznar and Austin Kelley each scored a 227 to finish tied for 62nd. Kuznar started slow with a 79 on the first day and steadied himself with a 74 in the next two rounds. Kelley scored a 76, 74, and 77. Bryce Stiemert scored a 79, 82, and 81 to finish at No. 110 with a score of 242, and Colin O'Hern scored a 258 to finish in 119th place.
Emory won the event with a final score of 840, finishing with three golfers in the top 10. Averett University's Caleb Kimbrough finished first with a score of 205, scoring eight under par.
