
Southwestern men's golf posted the lowest single round of the tournament on Tuesday to take second place at the West Region Invitational.
SU had a 295 on Tuesday to go with a 323 and 301 for a 919 team score. Schreiner won the event with a 910.
Sutherland Stith led the charge and set the tone for the day with an eagle on the #13 par five, just his fourth hole of the day. Stith closed the day tied for fifth with a 225 combined score (80-73-72). Cody Hebert finished in tenth with a 229 (80-76-73). Jordan Cowart came in tied for 11th with 230 strokes (82-74-74) and Tyler Gammill and Connor Murphy both posted a 239 to finish tied for 21st.
Texas Lutheran's Adam Peterson won the event with a 219 (79-71-69).
The Pirates head to the SCAC Championships for their next contest beginning on April 20th in Blanco, Texas at Vaalar Creek Country Club.
