
TUNICA, Miss. - Southwestern finished in second place against the top teams in the nation at the Rhodes College Fall Classic, posting a 592 team score.
Senior Cody Hebert and junior Connor Murphy had identical outings, shooting a 147 (71-76) to end tied for eighth place. Sophomore Tyler Gammill posted rounds of 75-76 to finish with a 151 to come in tied for 28th. First-year Matthew Christl ended tied for 35th with 152 strokes (76-76) and fellow first-year Davon Horne posted a 71-87 to finish tied for 61st with 158 strokes.
#9 Berry college won the event with a 581 team score and Ryan Elmore took the top spot with a 143.
The Pirates take on the nation's best again as they compete in the Golfweek Fall Invitational in Sandestin, Florida on October 11-13.
