Golfers post lowest round of tourney to finish second

Southwestern men's golf posted a 306 team score on day two of the Linda Lowery Invitational, the lowest one-day team score of the tournament. Southwestern finished in second place, trailing Schreiner University by eight strokes. 

Tyler Gammill led the way on day two with a 75. He finished iwth 150 strokes and tied for 12 place overall. Jordan Cowart matched his day one effort of 79 on day two to finish with 158 strokes and in a tie for sixth place. Sutherland Stitch finished tied for ninth after a 76 on day to end with 159 strokes. 

Erik Walinder also ended with 160 strokes (83-77) and in a tie for 12th while Cody Hebert took 18th with 161 strokes. 

Concordia's Jack Cersosimo won the event with a 149 (76-73) over two days. Individuals Connor Murphy and Andrew DeHennis finished with 166 strokes and 169 strokes respectively. 

Southwestern takes their talents to California to compete in the highly competitive West Cup in Murreita, Calif. on March 23-24.
