
GEORGETOWN, Texas - Highlighted by Devon Horne's second round eagle on the par-5 seventh the Pirates sit in third place at the West Region Invitational hosted at Berry Creek Country Club.
Cody Hebert leads the team with a 148 after shooting a 72-76 to finish the day in fourth. Horne come in at 150 (78-72) and sits tied for sixth.
Andrew DeHennis posted a 152 (78-74), finishing tied for 16th and Connor Murphy was close behind with a 153 (78-75). Tyler Gammill rounded out the team play with a 161 (75-86).
Three Pirates played individually and had strong outings as well. Curtis Cuccia and Matthew Christl came in tied for 27th at 155 strokes while Michael Gebhardt posted a 158 to finish tied for 41st.
UT Tyler currently leads the field with a 593 team score and Nick Ratliff leads individually with a two under par 142.
Southwestern will close the tournament with a final 18 holes Tuesday.
