#9 Southwestern finishes in seventh in Kerrville

KERRVILLE, Texas – As winds gusts the Pirates men's golfers struggled on day two to finish in seventh at their spring opener, the Schreiner Spring Shootout.  

Andrew DeHennis led for the Pirates, finishing tied for 11th with 150 strokes (77-73). Cody Hebert added an 80 to his first round 74 to  finish tied for 24th while Connor Murphy and Devon Horne both finished with 156 strokes and tied for 28th.

Matthew Christl rounded out the Pirates' score with a 158 and in 34th.

Southwestern posted a team score of 614 and were just nine strokes out of third place.

The Pirates next head to Destin, Florida to compete in the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. There they will face the top teams and golfers in the nation during the three-day event beginning on Friday, March 18th
