SANDESTIN, Fla. – Southwestern hit the links against the top teams in the nation at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational and finished the first round tied for 15^th.

First-year Devon Horne was outstanding in the first round with an even-par 71 to finish the day tied for 11^th. Cody Hebert was close behind with a one-over-par 72 and is tied for 22^nd.  Tyler Gammill shot a 75 to finish tied for 53^rd while Connor Murphy and Matthew Christl posted an 84 and 86, respectively.

UT Tyler sits atop the leaderboard with a four under par 280 while the Patriots' Buddy Hallman shot a six-under-par 65 to finish the day as the individual leader.

Round two begins tomorrow, Monday, on the Raven Golf Club.
