Men's Golf In Fifth Place at John Bohmann Memorial Invitational

SEGUIN, Texas — Southwestern men's golf is in fifth after the first two rounds at the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational hosted by Texas Lutheran University. 

The Pirates were paced by Nicholas Hoisington, who scored a 73 and 69 to end the first day at 142 and tied for 12th place. Thomas Kuznar (70, 74) scored a 144 and is tied for 14th. Christian Rodriguez opened strong, scoring a 68 in the first round, but faded in the second, shooting a 147 for the day to tie for 24th. Matthew Peesker (75, 74) scored a 149 to tie for 30th, and Logan Pullin (74, 79) shot a 153 to tie for 41st. 

Austin Kelley (144, tied for 14th), Colin O'Hern (145, tied for 18th) led Southwestern's second team. Bryce Stiemert (146, tied for 22nd) and Ian Cameron (173, 57th) rounded out the Pirates participating. 

Trinity University leads the field with a 547 with three top-five golfers. Zac Bunder leads the tigers with a 137 to tie for first overall. The University of Dallas trails in second with a score of 576. Texas Lutheran (third, 577) and Our Lady of the Laker University (fourth, 578) also finished ahead of Southwestern. 

Our Lady of the Lake's second team (sixth, 585), Schreiner (seventh, 591), University of the Southwest (eighth, 597), and Texas Lutheran's second team (633, 10th) also competed. Southwestern will play the event's final round tomorrow.
