ABILENE, Texas - Cody Hebert shot a three-under-par 68 to lead the Pirates to a first place finish after the first round at the Abilene Intercollegiate Monday. 

Hebert leads McMurry's Mitchel Fagan by one stroke. 

Tyler Gammily shot a 72 to finish tied for fifth while Andrew DeHennis came in tied for eighth with a 73. Connor Murphy shot a 76 and Devon Horne an 82. 

Southwestern's team score of 289 is four shots ahead of McMurry University. 

The Pirates finish the competition on Tuesday to close their fall season.
