SANDESTIN, Fla. —The Southwestern University Pirates men's golf team scored a 297 in the second round of the Golfweek Fall Invitational, dropping five spots down to 12th after falling 11 strokes off their first-round pace.
Cade Osgood remained steady, scoring three birdies on the back nine to match his first-round score of 70 and in a tie for eighth place; bringing his two-day birdie total to eight.
John Kellum improved by three strokes on Day 2, offsetting three bogeys with four birdies to score a 71 to bring his two-day total to 145; tied for 30th. The rest of the lineup fell off its first-round pace.
Austin Kelley struggled on the back-nine to finish with a 77, scoring a 149 through two days to fall into a tie for 51st. Christian Rodriguez scored an 80, bringing hit total to 150 in a tie for 59th. Thomas Kuznar shot a 79 one day after scoring a 77 for a score of 156 in 81st. Play resumes tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.
