THE WOODLANDS, Texas - After 36 holes of action, the two-time defending champion Southwestern University men's golf team leads a pack of four teams separated by just 11 shots as the first and second rounds were completed Monday at the 2018 SCAC Men's Golf Championship at Panther Trail Course at the Golf Trails of The Woodlands. Tomorrow's final 18 holes will begin at 8 a.m. on the par-72, 6,908-yard layout.
With two rounds in the books, Southwestern is sitting at 609 (+33) and is nine shots clear of Trinity University and Texas Lutheran, who both finished with a two-round total of 618 (+42). Schreiner University, who led after the first round, is tied for fourth with the University of Dallas. The two have two-round scores of 620 (+11).

Cade Osgood sits in a tie for second after shooting a 151 (+7) in round one followed by Sutherland Stith, who is also tied for second at 151 (+7). Tyler Gammil was tied for ninth at 154 (+10) while Matthew Christl is in 14th at 156 (+12). Devon Horne rounded out the scoring in 19th at 158 (+16).
Schreiner's Jason Lopez hold the two-round individual lead after firing rounds of 72 and 78. His 150 (+6) gives him a one shot lead over his teammate Jacob Gentry, Osgood, Stith, and Trinity's Redmond Lyons.
Centenary College is in sixth place with a two-round total of 661.
