Men's golf opens fall season at Rhodes Fall Classic

TUNICA, Miss. - Southwestern men's golf opened the 2016-17 fall season Monday and Tuesday and finished in 16th place in a challenging, deep field of competitors. 

Cade Osgood, in his first collegiate appearance, led Southwestern and finished tied for 20th with 149 strokes after shaving seven strokes off his opening round (78-71).

Matthew Christly finished tied for 33rd with 151 strokes (78-73) and Andrew DeHennis tied for 73rd (78-80) with 158 strokes. Devon Horne posted a 164 (80-84).

The Pirates have a quick turnaround and will face an even more challenging group in their next contest as they compete in the Golfweek Invitational in Sandestin, Fla. beginning October 9th.
