
AUSTIN, Texas - The 22nd-ranked Southwestern University men's golf team shot a 313 (+29) in the final round of the Linda Lowery Invitational for a two round score of 615 (+47) to claim third place at the River Place Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
No. 7 Concordia won the event with a two-round score of 586 (+18) after shooting a 292 (+8) on Tuesday while top-ranked Texas-Tyler placed second with two-round score of 597 (+29). Concordia (B) placed fourth at 617 (+49) while Texas Lutheran earned a fifth place finish at 624 (+56).
Sophomore Cade Osgood earned an eighth place finish after shooting a 74 (+4) in round two for a two-round score of 151 (+11). Osgood was E on the front nine including an Eagle at 3 and a birdie at 4.
Junior Matthew Christl shot a 76 (+6) for a two-round score of 153 (+13) while senior Sutherland Stith shot an 82 (+12) for a two round score of 155 (+15).
Rounding out the scoring for Southwestern was senior Tyler Gammill with a two-round score of 158 (+18) after an 83 (+13) and junior Devon Horne with a 161 (+21) after shooting an 81 (+11).
The Pirates are back in action beginning next Monday at Comanche Trace Golf Club in Kerrville for the Schreiner Spring Shootout, a two-round event.
