Pirates jump two spots to finish 4th in California

Against some of the top Division III teams in the nation, Southwestern men's golf rallied for the best day two round and second best of the Invitational to finish in fourth. 

Jordan Cowart took third overall shooting and even par for the tournament (75-69). His 69 was the second lowest round of the touranment, bested only by Bobby Holden of Redlands. Alec Spencer won the event with a one-under-par (71-72). 

Sutherland Stith finished in seventh with a strong four over par for the tournament (75-73). Tyler Gammill closed with an eight-over-par (76-76) to come in tied for 13th. Connor Murphy came in tied for 40th with a 159 (82-77) and Cody Hebert tied for 68th with 171 strokes (89-82). 

LaVerne won the event with 596 strokes and 20-over-par. Southwestern comes home for their next tournament, hosting the West Region Invitational on April 6-7 at Berry Creek Country Club.
