Hebert wins Abilene Intercollegiate to close fall

ABILENE, Texas – Cody Hebert closed the fall season on a high note by taking top honors in the Abilene Intercollegiate at Diamondback Golf Course.

Hebert shot a consistent 68 in two rounds to end six-under-par for the win. He was two strokes ahead of his nearest competitor, Seger Howell of Concordia.

Tyler Gammill closed the event tied for fifth with a 148 (72-78) as did Andrew DeHennis (73-75). Connor Murphy posted a 157 (76-81) to come in tied for 27th and Devon Horne finished in 41st with 164 strokes (82-82).

Southwestern shot a 589 as a team and finished in second place by just one stroke. Concordia rallied back to win the event with a 588 team score.

The Pirates take the winter off before returning to action on February 29th at the Schreiner Spring Shootout in Kerrville, Texas.
