Men's Golf Finishes Second in Linda Lowery Invitational 
AUSTIN, Texas -- Southwestern's men's golf fell short 10 strokes to beat out UT-Tyler and finished second in the Linda Lowery Invitational with a team total of 903 points Tuesday afternoon.
 
Leading the first day in par 3 and par 4,  the  Southwestern Pirates were still able to have three members finish in the top ten and beat No. 2 Concordia Texas by eight strokes. The Pirates also placed second highest for both team birdes(23) and par(145).
 
Cade Osgood led the Pirates by placing second in the individuals with 78-69-74-221 (+8) while also picking up 11 birdies, and he had a total of 28 par. Matthew Christl also did well for the Pirates and tied for third with a final score of 75-74-73-222 (+9) and ended with the second highest pars, totaling 33 and sinking in 7 birdies.
 
Sutherland Stith finished in seventh place with a score of 72-78-76-226(+18) with eight birdies and 30 par. He was followed by John Kellum who placed 13th with a score of 77-75-82-234(+13) with seven birdies and 29 par, as well as Devon Horne who placed 23rd with a final score of 82-81-83-246(+21) with two birdies and 25 par.
 
Up next, men's golf will travel to Jekyll Island, Georgia, to play at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational on March 14-17.
