3rd Round suspended at NCAAs after Pirates make cut

GREENSBORO, N.C. – After making the cut on day two, Jordan Cowart moved into second place before play was suspended while the Pirate men's golf team jumped into the top 10 at the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Cowart sits at -1 in his third round – which was postponed due to inclement weather on Thursday - as he also posted a 1-under 71 during his second round. The senior pushed through the first 13 holes and will begin Friday just one shot behind the individual leader, Bobby Holden of Redlands.

Play on Friday will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the final round scheduled to start immediately following the completion of the third round.

All five Pirates did not finish their third round as Andrew DeHennis and James Grachos will have one hole to complete on Friday. Cameron Button also played through 13 as he sites tied for 33rd and is +8 for the tournament.

 Grachos and Cody Hebert are also both tied at +17 for the championship and tied for 66th.

Southwestern made the cut after Wednesday's round and jumped into a tie at 10th with Berry College. Schreiner will begin the completion of the third round on Friday in first with a two stroke lead over Oglethorpe.
