Men's golf up one spot in latest GCAA national poll

NORMAN, Okla. - Just days after winning the 2016 SCAC Championship title the Southwestern men's golf team moved up one spot to #18 in the latest Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll released April 22nd. 

Regionally, Southwestern sits at sixth in the West Region in the most recent rankings. They fall behind Concordia, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, UT Tyler, California Lutheran, and Mary Hardin-Baylor. Concordia won the American Southwest Conference (ASC) title and earned the automatic qualification to the NCAA tournament. CMS and CLU compete against each other in the SCIAC Golf Championships beginning April 24th while UTT and UMHB placed second and third respectively in the ASC Championship. 

Southwestern will learn if they recieved an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Championship on Monday, May 4th. This year's championship will take place at Mendon Golf Club and Midval Country Club in Rochester, N.Y. on May 10th-13th.
