Pirates up four to #13 in latest Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll

NORMAN, Okla. - After an impressive showing against some of the top teams in the nation the Southwestern men's golf team jumped four spots to #13 in the latest top 25 poll out Friday. 

Southwestern took second place at the Rhodes College Men's Falls Collegiate Golf Classic in Tunica, Miss. earlier in the week. The Classic pitted the Pirates against seven top 25 teams and two teams ranked in the top ten. 

The tough competition continues as SU heads to the Golfweek Fall Invitational in Sandestin, Florida October 11-13. 

Methodist received eight first-place votes to hold on to the No. 1 ranking in the Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll. 
 
Oglethorpe tallied four first-place votes and climbed four spots to second. Wittenberg moved up a spot to third. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, who earned a first-place vote, jumped to No. 4. Illinois State is No. 5. Sixth-ranked St. John Fisher collected the remaining three first-place votes. LaGrange and Redlands are tied at No. 7 while Berry and UT Tyler round out the top 10.
