Men's Golf Finishes First Day of Golfweek Fall Invitational in Seventh

SANDESTIN, Fla. — The Southwestern University Pirates men's golf team ended the first round of the Golfweek Fall Invitational in seventh place with a score of 286, remaining within striking distance of first-place Emory, who totaled 280 to finish four under par. 

Senior Cade Osgood and first year Christian Rodriguez paced the Pirates with each scoring 70 to finish one under par in an eight-way tie for 14th place. 

Osgood picked up birdies on holes 2, 4, 8, 13, and 17, making up for four bogeys. Rodriguez had a double-bogey on hole 14 but birdied on holes 3, 5, 15, and 17. 

Austin Kelly finished in a tie for 30th with a score of 72, finishing one over par. John Kellum shot a 74 to finish three over, tied for 45th. Thomas Kuznar shot a 77 for a tie for 69th.
