Men's golf takes second in season opener

SEGUIN, Texas - Southwestern men's golf is off to a strong start, finishing second at the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational tournament. 

Tyler Gammill led the Pirates with a two-under-par 214 for three rounds (72-71-71), finishing seven strokes behind Will Arend of Concordia and two strokes behind Colin Uecker of Texas Lutheran to tie for third. 

Cade Osgood posted the lowest individual round of any Pirate, shooting a 69 in the final round to finish tied for seventh with 215 strokes (71-75-69). Andrew Augustine shot a 221 (76-72-73) to come in 23rd, Devon Horne posted a 222 (72-74-76) to finish tied for 24th and Matthew Christl came in tied for 28th with 223 strokes (74-76-73).

Sutherland Stith, Curtis Cuccia and Zane Warren also competed at the tournament as individuals. Stith has a strong outing, finishing tied for seventh with 215 strokes (73-69-73), Cuccia posted a 218 (76-72-70) and Warren a 225 (74-75-76). 

Southwestern next heads to Tunica, Miss. to compete in the Rhodes Collegiate Classic beginning on September 16th at Tunica National.
