#13 Pirates move up five places after second round

SANDESTIN, Fla. - Southwestern shot an impressive four over par as a team on day two to move into a tie for 10th place at the Golfweek Fall Invitational. 

First-year Devon Horne continues to make a splash as he improved on an already impressive opening round with a 71 on day two. Couple that with his first round of 72 and Horne is at one-over-par for the tournament and tied for 11th. Tyler Gammill posted the lowest round of the tournament of any Pirate thus far with a 68 today and is also tied for 11th place. 

Cody Hebert sits tied for 43rd at seven-over-par with a 77 in the second round while Connor Murphy took 12 strokes off his opening round to finish tied for 77th. Matthew Christl rounded out the Pirates with an 82 in the second round. 

Southwestern trails team leader UT Tyler by 26 strokes and the Patriots' Buddy Hallman is tied with Chris Harris of Rhodes for the individual lead at five under par. 

Teams wrap up the competition on Tuesday.
