AUSTIN, Texas - The spring season is underway for the Southwestern men's golf team and the Pirates started on a high-note with a third place finish at the Linda Lowery Invitational. 

Tyler Gammill competed individually and was outstanding, posting a one-under-par 141 and was just four strokes behind the leader. Sutherland Stith led the team with a one-over-par 143 for two rounds, finishing tied for third overall.

Matthew Christl shot a three over par 145 to finish in seventh place overall. 

The invitational was a good warm-up for SU's next event, the Jekyll Island Invitational, where they will compete against the top teams in the nation beginning on March 17th.
