2011 (Senior)

Churchwell posted a 3.76 era in his final season with the Pirates. In nine starts, 10 appearances, Churchwell went 4-5 with four complete games. He threw 64.2 innings, allowing 80 hits, 41 runs, 27 earned, while walking 20 and striking out a team high 41. Churchwell was named SCAC Pitcher-of-the-Week for the week of February 21-27 and was an All-SCAC Honorable Mention and named to the SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

2010 (Junior)

Appeared on the mound ten times for the Pirates this season, starting 4 contests...allowed 47 hits and 24 earned runs in 29 innings for a 7.45 ERA...walked 10 batters while striking out 27...named to the SCAC Spring 2010 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll.

2009 (Sophomore)
Went 2-4 with three saves this season in 14 appearances and six starts on the mound for the Pirates...allowed 59 hits and 30 runs in 47.1 innings for a 5.70 ERA...walked 16 batters while striking out 37...held opponents to a .303 batting average.

2008 (First-year)
Was 2-4 on the season with 13 appearances and six starts...had one save and one complete game...allowed 62 hits and 33 earned runs in 40.1 innings...walked 21 while striking out 33...held opponents to a .356 batting average.

High School
Churchwell was a 2007 First-Team All-District pick and was a member of the 2005 5A State Championship team for the Kingwood Mustangs.

Chris is the son of Dave and Rosa Churchwell...has one brother - Stanley...Chris is a Physics major with a Math minor at SU.
