GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Baseball opened up their home contests on Friday night against the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday against the Stags, in which game one was scheduled for seven innings, followed by a full nine for the evening game. The Pirates fell to the Stags in each of the three contests by margins of 4-11, 4-13, and 6-15, respectively. The final game of the Pirates vs. the Stags will take place on Sunday afternoon at 12:00 PM.
HIGHLIGHTS GAME 1
- Maxwell Mims had two hits with one run scored including a triple and one RBI.
- James Vaquero and Alexander Cannata each notched two hits in the game.
NOTES
- The Pirate defense turned two double plays against the Stags.
- Pitchers Garrett Guinn, Anthony France, and Braden Simpson each made their season debuts on the mound.

- Freshman Designated Hitter Owen Stevenson hit a three-run home run over left field.
- Jake Harris had two hits with one double and one run scored against the Stags.
- Ben Feuer gathered two hits and one walk for the Pirates

- Southwestern gave up nine runs in the sixth and seventh innings to end the game.

- Christian Melillo hit the Pirate's second three-run homer of the day in the bottom of the third.
- Ben Feuer drove in two RBIs on one hit in the bottom of the second.
