Betts was the only player to start and play in every game this season. In 37 games he went 35-129 from the plate for a .271 batting average with seven doubles, one triple and two homeruns. Betts drove in 26 runs, second most on the team, and scored 22 times.

Appeared in 38 games for the Pirates and started in 35 contests...finished with a .277 batting average with 36 hits in 130 at bats...was tied for fourth on the team with 24 RBIs, tied for second on the team with 9 doubles, and finished second on the team with 3 triples...finished the season with a .952 fielding percentage with only 3 errors.
2008-2009 (First-Year)
Played in 36 games and started 33 of them...had a .246 batting average...tied for sixth on the team with five doubles...had just one error on the season for a .984 fielding percentage
High School
Cray graduated from Pflugerville Connally High School in 2008. He competed in football and basketball during his tenure as a Cougar. Cray was awarded the Newcomer of the Year in 2006. He was an 4A All-District selection two years in addition to being named to the Academic All-District team two years.
Personal
Cray is the son of David and Michelle Betts and has one brother, Eston. He intends to major in business.
