Four Men's Tennis Players Earn All-SCAC Honors

The Southwestern men's tennis team had four student-athletes named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) men's tennis all-conference team, the league announced, including three singles selections and one doubles team.

Senior Hunter Bajoit and junior Steven Tibbetts headline Southwestern's All-SCAC singles selections, earning First Team honors. Freshman Oscar Roy earned All-SCAC Second Team. The SCAC named Roy and Carlos Esteban Rodero to the All-SCAC Doubles Second Team.

Bajoit posted a 16-6 record, playing exclusively at No. 1 singles while earning a spot on the SCAC All-Tournament team, tying Alexis Dimanche '20 for most career wins in program history and becoming the first two-time NCAA singles qualifier in program history. In addition, Bajoit has earned All-SCAC First Team in all three seasons the conference has given out such awards during his collegiate career.

Tibbetts posted a 14-6 record, including an 8-2 record at No. 4 singles. He also represented Southwestern at The Ojai, advancing to the quarterfinals. This is his second All-SCAC selection, having earned All-SCAC Second Team in 2021.

In his first year, Roy won 11 times in 17 dual matches, including an 8-2 record at No. 5 singles. He also paired with Esteban Rodero to go 9-5 at No. 3 doubles. The award is Esteban Rodero's second All-SCAC doubles selection, having earned All-SCAAC First Team in 2021.

Southwestern ended its season ranked No. 19 in the latest ITA National Rankings with a 15-7 record and finishing second in the SCAC.
