"Carlos and Drew continue to play solid tennis for most of the match, and unfortunately, the trend of giving up a break late happened again," head coach Billy Porter said.

In singles, Lekovic defeated  Salinas 6-0, 6-4 in No. 1 singles. Bajoit won 6-3, 6-1 over Herr in No. 2 singles. Joseph won in 6-0, 6-0 straight sets over Morris in No. 3 singles. "Vesko played a much smarter match this afternoon and should be very pleased with that result," Porter said. "Alex played a strong singles match and got us that third point rather swiftly, which the guys fed off of."

Southwestern remains undefeated at 13-0. The Pirates will host Sul Ross State on Friday, April 16, then travel to San Antonio to face Trinity on Saturday, April 17.
