Men's Tennis Advances To SCAC Championship Match, Bajoit Ties For Most Career Wins

KERRVILLE, Texas — Senior Hunter Bajoit tied former teammate Alexi Dimanche '20 for the most career wins in program history, and the men's tennis team defeated Colorado College 5-1 to advance to the SCAC Championship. 

Colorado College's Jack Delafield and Andrew Kailin scored an 8-7 win over Vesko Lekovic and Hemanshu Rambojun at No. 1 doubles. Hunter Bajoit and Steven Tibbetts scored an 8-3 win over Lucas Pastor and Alex Kley at No. 2 doubles. Oscar Roy and Carlos Esteban Rodero gave the Pirates the lead with an 8-4 win over Nate Beerman and Jacob Adas to close doubles. 

Bajoit and Tibbetts picked up a pair of wins at the top of the lineup, and Roy scored a victory at No. 5 singles for Southwestern. 

Bajoit defeated Aiden Little 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles for his 131st career win, tying Dimanche for the most in program history. Tibbetts won 6-4, 6-1 over Andew Kaelin, and Roy bested Beerman 6-1, 6-4. 

Southwestern advances to the SCAC Championship match, facing Trinity for a seventh consecutive tournament. The two teams will play tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.
