Hunter Bajoit to Compete at NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championships

The NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Committee announced its 2021 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships Singles and Doubles qualifiers, naming Southwestern junior Hunter Bajoit to the list of 32 singles qualifiers.

Bajoit helped lead the Southwestern men's tennis team to its first NCAA Tournament bid and was ranked the No. 4 singles player in the West Region, earning the highest regional ranking in program history. Bajoit went 12-1 in singles competition this season for the 14-2  Pirates, including a perfect 11-0 from No. 2 singles. He was named to the SCAC All-Tournament Team.

The national committee selected a percentage of singles players and doubles teams from each of the four regions for the individual championships. The individual championships consist of 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams. The selection of teams and individuals for the championships is based on the won-lost record, the strength of schedule, and eligibility and availability of student-athletes.

The team championship will take place May 24-26, while the individual championships will be  May 28-30, both at Champions Tennis Club, Chattanooga, TN; hosted by the University of the South and the Chattanooga Sports Commission.
