Men's Tennis Earns Multiple All-Tournament Awards

The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its 2021 Men's Tennis All-Tournament Team, naming a pair of Southwestern singles players and one doubles team.

Hunter Bajoit opened the tournament with a 6-2, 5-1 victory over Schreiner's Luis Cabreja in the semifinals, then defeated Trinity's Cameron Krimbill 6-4, 6-3 to improve to 11-1 this season. 

Carlos Esteban Rodero scored a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Schreiner's Austin Cervantes in No. 4 singles. In the championship match against Trinity, he was tied with Wilson Hamilton in No. 4 singles in the third set when the match ended. He is 12-2 this season. 

Hunter Bajoit and Vesko Lekovic remained undefeated for the season, improving to 15-0 with a pair of victories at No. 2 doubles. The duo defeated Schreiner's Cabreja and Cervantes 8-5, then bested Krimbill and Alessio Azzalini 8-5. 

Southwestern earned its highest regional ranking in program history, placing second behind Trinity University in the West. The Pirates finished 14-2, with both losses coming to Trinity.

No. 3 Doubles – Wilson Hamilton/Jordan Pitts, Trinity

*Any player (or doubles team) who goes through the conference tournament undefeated is automatically named to the all-tournament team. If no one player or team goes undefeated using the above criteria, then the next best record at that position will be named to the all-tournament team. Coaches may also nominate a player for the all-tournament team.
