Southwestern University Pirates All-American senior Alexis Dimanche was ranked as the No. 27 men's tennis singles player in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll, which was released earlier today.

Dimanche finished the season with a 5-1 singles record playing exclusively from the No. 1 position, including a victory over Redlands' Andrew Leahy to clinch the Pirates' 5-4 victory over the No. 18-ranked team at the time.

Dimanche finished his career with 131 combined wins, edging out teammate Dean Dulthummon by two victories for the program's all-time record.

He also received the No. 7 ranking in the West Region.

"It's great to see Alexis finish his career with his third consecutive spring national ranking for singles," Head Coach Billy Porter said.

In doubles, sophomores Hunter Bajoit and Hemanshu Rambojun finished as the No. 20-ranked team in Division III by the ITA, finishing as the highest-ranked duo in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC).

Bajoit and Rambojun were natural fits next to each other, advancing to the Fall Regional Fall Championship doubles match in their first season together, where they were the runners-up to McMurry University's Carlos Martinez and Chase Daniell.

The duo continued to get stronger through the season, compiling a 4-2 record with the only losses coming to nationally-ranked Bradley Cummins and Brysl Libao of Redlands (2) and Varun Shanker and James Wei of Caltech (12).

On Feb. 29, Bajoit and Ramobjun avenged their ITA Regional Championship loss to Martinez and Daniell with an 8-7 victory in Georgetown.  The duo also finished No. 5 in the West Region.

"It's very exciting for Hunter and Hemanshu to be rewarded for making the most out of a shortened spring by beating the team that beat them in the ITA Regional Final and finish with our first ranked doubles team since Niko Snovely and Grant Gideon in 2017," Porter said.

Bajoit was also ranked No. 16 in the West Region. Teammate Alex Joseph finished No. 18.

The Pirates finished the season with a 6-1 record, splitting its pair of matches against nationally-ranked teams with their lone loss coming on the road against Caltech (24). Southwestern finished the season ranked No. 23 by the ITA, finishing with the highest national ranking in program history.
