No. 14 Trinity tops 36th-ranked Southwestern, 7-2

SAN ANTONIO - The 36th-ranked Southwestern men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to No. 14 Trinity Friday night.

The Pirates (17-6) dropped two of three doubles matches to fall behind early. Dean Dulthummon and Will Ellis earned an 8-5 win in the third spot to pick up the first point.

The Tigers collected five of six singles wins to clinch the match.

Alexis Dimanche notched Southwestern's lone singles victory, as the freshman posted a 6-4, 6-3 win at the second position.

The Pirates will begin preparing for the SCAC Championships, which will take place April 28-30 in San Antonio.
