Southwestern defeated Our Lady of the Lake ifor a tough 5-4 victory on Wednesday to improve to 11-2 on the year. 

The Pirates took two of three doubles sets to set the stage for the win. Niko Snovely and Grant Gideon won 8-4 at #1 while Sam McCready and Oliver Farmen took down Martinez/Galaviz at #3 doubles 5-3 (ret.). 

Our Lady of the Lake got out to a strong start in singles play as SU fell at #1 and #2 singles. Farmen got the Pirates back on track with a #3 singles win 7-6 (5), 7-5. Sam McCready outlasted Abraham Cantu 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 in #6 singles and clinched the match at 4-4. Neik Khansari also won 6-4, 6-1 in #5 singles.

The Pirates remain at home to face SCAC conference opponents Centenary College and Texas Lutheran on Saturday.
