Southwestern's women had a great showing by taking all 7 matches on the afternoon.  Jessica Gaines and Aimee Blake dominated their doubles match, winning 8-1 while Elyse Bigler and Sarah Johnson notched a solid 9-7 victory.  The Pirates dominated all 5 singles matches as well.  Jessica Gaines, Elyse Bigler, Aimee Blake, Kindall Hodgenson, and Sarah Johnson all secured victory in two sets, not needing a third. 

The Pirate men suffered several close losses in a 6-1 defeat at the hands of the YellowJackets.  Alex Lam and Alexander Reinsch were edged 9-8 in thier doubles match and D'Artagnan Bebel and Andrew Clarage were defeated 8-4.  Alexander Reinsch notched the lone victory for the men in his two set victory.  D'Artagnan Bebel, after dropping the first set 2-6, came back strong to for a third set by dominating the second set 6-1.  Bebel was unable to clinch the victory despite an exciting third set that went 18 games that fell in favor of HPU 10-8.
