GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Men's Tennis improves their record to 5-0 after battling the #18 ranked Carnegie Mellon Tartans. The Pirates dropped two doubles matches and, at one point, found themselves trailing the Tartans 1-4. It would take four different three-set singles matches for the Pirates to complete the comeback for this gutsy win.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Oscar Roy bounced back after a second-set tiebreaker loss for a 7-5, 6-7, 6-1 win to cut the deficit to 4-2.
- Ryan Flanagan took the third set 6-4 at No. 6 to get the Pirates within one.
- Joseph Snyman tied the match with a win at No. 4.
- It came down to the No. 5 match, and Travis Rafferty came through with a massive 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 win to give the Pirates the overall victory.
