Colorado College Tigers fall to Southwestern Men’s Tennis

Southwestern Men's Tennis defeated Colorado College in a home match on Thursday, April 13, 2023. The Pirates won 7-2, significantly dominating in doubles.  

Getting up 3-0 after doubles was huge in getting the Pirates to the 7-2 victory. The men's doubles chemistry and communication was outstanding. Sebastian Herrera and Steven Tibbetts got a great win at line 3; the two had incredible drive to win. The energy from their court was contagious and spread to the whole team. 

Entering singles, the confidence was high among the whole team. This was crucial to keeping the energy up. Bernardo Clemente had yet another exceptional performance on court and was joined in gaining points for the Pirates by Ashton Ellis, Oscar Roy, and Ryan Flanagan. Each of these players achieved very solid wins for the team.

Once again, the Southwestern Men's Tennis team had an outstanding performance and was able to claim victory, 7-2. Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Conference Tournament which will be held here at Southwestern University, April 28-30, at the Pirates' home courts! This tournament is two weeks from today!
