GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Southwestern University Pirates men's tennis team squeegeed the tennis courts after the rain then proceeded to sweep the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders 9-0 in the last home match of the season.
Senior Alonso Fernandez made the most of his final home match, defeating Jake Boles 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 6 spot to help the Pirates finish the season a perfect 8-0 at home.
"It was so special and fitting for Alonso, our lone senior, to be the last match on and get a win in his final appearance at home," Head Coach Billy Porter said.
