Thursday's men's tennis tilts washed out

GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Southwestern University men's tennis team announced that both of its Thursday matches will not be played due to rain and wet court conditions.

The Pirates were forced to cancel the contest with Holy Names, orginally scheduled for 9 a.m. Southwestern then postponed the afternoon tilt with Concordia Texas.

The Pirates and Tornados will meet in a rescheduled contest on Wednesday, March 23. First serve is slated for 5 p.m. at the Marvin D. Henderson Sr. Tennis Courts.

Southwestern will hit the road next week in a three-game swing to California. The Pirates will start the trip with a match at Whittier on Friday, March 18. The squad also will travel to No. 40 Caltech the following day and then wrap up the trip at Occidental on Sunday, March 20.
