Men's Lacrosse Downed by Rhodes, 15-3

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Men's Lacrosse (0-1) took on the Rhodes College Lynx (1-1) on Sunday at 1:00 PM in Memphis, Tennessee. The Pirates got the Lynx after having faced St. Lawrence the day prior on Saturday, however, the Lynx showed no signs of wear and tear as they defeated the Pirates by a twelve-goal margin, 15-3. 

 

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Matt Caldwell led the team in scoring with three points on two goals and one assist. 
  • Cade McDonald added one goal to the tally along with an assist. 
  • Goaltender Will Walsh ended the day with a fifty percent save percentage and fifteen saves.

NOTES

  • Southwestern turned the ball over thirty-five times compared to the Lynx twenty-one. 
  • The Pirates cleared at a seventy-nine percent rate for the game (23/29). 
  • Faceoff man Anthony Caudillo, went 10-15 at the faceoff dot while the Pirates went 10-21 as a whole.
