GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern Men's Lacrosse team needed a win on Saturday against conference opponent Centenary College to qualify for the Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) playoffs. Needless to say, the Pirates took care of business on Varsity Field for their last home game of the season.

The Pirates racked up twenty-nine goals in the contest against the Centenary Gents, and sixteen different Pirate players scored in the game. The scoring was highlighted by senior attackman Jack Carolan who had a career-high nine points in the game off three goals and six assists. Doing his best to keep up with Carolan's point total, senior attackman Logan Kenny had a game-high six goals for the afternoon.

Senior goaltender Jonah Heaton got the start in the cage for the Pirates and logged forty-five minutes of game time, saving four shots and just two goals allowed during his time in net. Sophomore midfielder Gabe Morgan ensured the Pirate's possessions all afternoon at the faceoff dot. Morgan had fourteen groundballs, a career-high, and went 64.3 percent on faceoffs to help keep the ball in the hands of Southwestern.

At the end of the day, the final score resulted in a 29-3 win for Southwestern at Varsity Field on Senior day. More importantly, the Pirates will be heading to Hanover, Indiana in ten days to compete in the HCLC conference tournament. The first semifinal game will take place at 1:00 PM EST on Friday, April 28th, with the championship game happening on Sunday, April 30th at 1:00 PM EST.
