2015
Montagne led the Pirates in points (43) and assists (27) and was fourth in goals with 16. He took 62 shots with 43 being on frame for a .694 shots on goal percentage. His 46 ground balls ranked him second on the team and added 10 caused turnovers. Montagne had a season-high three goals against Rhodes College on February 13th and closed the home season with back-to-back games with four assists.
2014
Montagne returned from injury mid-season to make an immediate impact in his first season for the Pirates. He was tied for fifth on the team in assists with seven and added in nine goals in just eight games for 16 points. Montagne added in 12 ground balls and caused three turnovers while posting a .609 shots on goal percentage. He had a season-high four points and three goals against Franciscan on April 4th. Montagne was a member of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.
High School
Matthew is a 2012 graduate of Flint Hill School. During his high school career he earned several awards. Twice he won the Husky Award, once in 2009 and the second time in 2010. In 2011 he was named All-MAC Conference and was the lacrosse Team Captain.
Personal
Matthew is the son of Bobby and Bridget Montagne with one sister, Annie. He is currently a business major at Southwestern University.
