GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Pirates dominated the first half and cruised to a 17-10 win over Millsaps College on Friday at home.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southwestern started out two goals down but responded with five straight to end the first quarter with a 5-2 lead.
- The Pirates continued to roll in the second quarter and mounted a huge lead by halftime, leading 11-5.
- To open the third SU scored three straight before Millsaps got on the board again and led 15-6 heading into the final frame.
- Teams traded goals until Millsaps posted the final goal with 2:13 remaining to arrive at the final.
