GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern Men's Lacrosse (0-3) played their last of two games for their trip to Virginia on Sunday, combating against the Bridgewater Eagles (2-2) at Jopson Stadium. Southwestern spotted the Eagle's eight goals in the first quarter against just their three. The Pirates only allowed eight more goals throughout the rest of the day, but the five-goal lead in the first would be too much to overcome, losing to the Eagles 16-6.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Cade McDonald led the Pirates in ground ball pick-ups with seven on the afternoon.
  • Faceoff man Anthony Caudillo added a goal to the Pirate's tally, his second on the year
  • Defensive midfielder William Howell Jr. helped the Pirates on the offensive end with a goal of his own.

NOTES

  • Southwestern accumulated four minutes in penalties, the Eagles made good on 2-4 extra-man opportunities.
  • The Eagles dominated the faceoff battle, only allowing Southwestern to go 7-26 from the dot.
  • The Pirates lost the ground ball battle 51-34, including the nineteen faceoff wins for the Eagles.
