Maxwell Mims Earns CSC Academic All-American Honors

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS—The association of College Sports Communicators released its 2024 Academic All-America Baseball teams this week for all divisions. Maxwell Mims, a graduated senior outfielder from Friendswood, Texas, has been named CSC Third Team Academic All-American in exclusive voting from sports information directors from across the country. Mims, having already been named Academic All-District, was one of thirty-four Division III baseball players across the first, second, and third-team honors. He was also one of only two athletes in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference to receive the award for baseball. The Division III team boasts an overall average GPA of 3.85. 

"Academic All-American is a title reserved for college student-athletes who perform at an elite level in their chosen sport and in the classroom. Established in 1952 and selected by College Sports Communicators, Academic All-America is the longest-running and premier award for athletic and academic success across championship college sports at all NCAA levels."
