GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Maxwell Mims, a senior outfielder from Friendswood, Texas, has been named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week for games played from Monday, April 8 through Sunday, April 14.
Mims had a monster weekend at the plate as he hit .600 (9-for-15) in leading the Pirates to a three-game SCAC series sweep at home over Schreiner. The senior had seven runs driven in and scored six more,
only striking out two times while posting an on-base percentage of .684. He recorded multi-hit games in all four contests, highlighted by a three-hit performance where he went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and two
runs scored in Friday's 8-6 game two victory over the Mountaineers. This marks the second time Mims has been named Hitter of the Week in 2024 and the third time in his career.
