The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) released its 2022 All-Conference Baseball Team, recognizing six Southwestern baseball players.
Henry Fisher led Southwestern with an All-SCAC First Team selection. Fisher, a junior from Southlake, Texas, had a breakout season. Southwestern's third baseman led Southwestern with a .387 batting average (41-for-106) with 13 doubles, driving in 22 RBIs and scoring 31 runs with a .509 slugging percentage.
Second baseman Trent Raschke and pitcher Travis Harvey earned All-SCAC Second Team honors.
Raschke was fourth on the team with a .313 (42-for-134) batting average, hitting eight doubles, one triple, and a home run. Raschke also drove in 22 RBIs and scored 20 runs.
Harvey led the SCAC in strikeouts with 76 in 65 innings of work. In addition, he posted a 3.74 ERA with a 2-2 record.
Maxwell Mims, Christian Melillo, and Ben Ludwig earned All-SCAC Honorable Mention.
Mims hit .310 (52-for-168) with four home runs in his second season. He matched his first-year totals with four home runs and 38 RBIs while posting career-bests with 25 stolen bases, 20 walks, and six doubles. He also had four triples and scored 37 runs.
Melillo led Southwestern with five home runs, hitting .277 (36-for-130) in his first season. He also produced nine doubles and five triples with 31 RBIs and 32 runs scored.
Ludwig posted a 5-4 record with three complete games. He posted career bests with 63 strikeouts to only 14 walks with a 5.59 ERA in 56.1 innings of work.
Southwestern finishes with a 20-18 record, ending the season on a four-game winning streak to post the fourth consecutive season with a .500 or better record.
