James is currently an Assistant for NCAA Division III Southwestern University, focusing on the faceoff unit, and the Director and Varsity Head Coach of Bowie High School in Austin, TX.

James competed for Team Peru as a captain and midfielder in Netanya, Israel for the 2018 World Lacrosse Championship, where he set a tournament record for goals in a game, led the tournament in points for the first three days after only 2 games, and finished in the top 10 faceoff win percentage, with Peru finishing 2nd overall behind Team USA.

Born in Dallas, TX, James began his athletic career at Jesuit College Prep.  Graduating in 2003, James captained and earned All-State honors his senior year.  James played for Stanford University from 2006-2009, where he earned 1st Team All-Conference and Scholar-Athlete honors and was invited to play for Team USA West.

James still competes competitively for the Capitals Lacrosse Club of Austin, TX. Outside of lacrosse, James enjoys his life in Austin with his wife, son and daughter.
