McCormack went 0-7 in his first season at Southwestern in nine starts and 11 appearances overall. His 47.2 innings pitched were second most for the Pirates, as were his 28 strikeouts. He was also named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.

Joe was an Honorable Mention All-District selection his senior season and was a member of National Honor Society and graduated magna cum laude.

Joe is the son of Kevin and Jeannie and has three siblings, Jason, Justin and Jared. He is majoring in business at Southwestern.
