Zac Asbury Named SCAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Southwestern University Pirates men's lacrosse attacker Zac Asbury was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Pirates' 16-8 victory over Berry College.

Asbury, the reigning SCAC Offensive Player of the Year, scored four goals on eight shots with three assists to produce seven points while also contributing nine ground balls on Saturday.

This is Asbury's second player of the week award in three weeks. For the season, Asbury has 19 points on nine goals and 10 assists. Asbury ranks No. 21 in the nation in assists per game with 3.33.

Southwestern is 3-0 this season and ranks No. 12 in the nation in assists. The Pirates will return to action on Saturday, Mar. 7 on the road against Centenary in Shreveport, La. at 1:00 p.m.
